  9. Due to the problem that certain characters could not be typed with the previous key combinations, I have decided to change them. When the next major revision comes out, this extension should be maturing into a control panel with user definable key combinations. But until then …

  16. Description
  17.  
  18. Print Screen is a system extension (init) that simplifies the process of printing the entire screen, the topmost window, or a specified portion of the screen. It performs a simple screen dump to the printer.

  22. Drag Print Screen to the System Folder and Restart.

  24. How to Use
  25.  
  26. Print Screen can be activated by the following keystrokes:

  28.   • F13 or COMMAND-OPTION-4 : 
  29.  
  30.           The entire contents of the screen will be printed.
  31.  
  32.   • OPTION-F13 or COMMAND-OPTION-3 : 
  33.  
  34.           Only the topmost window will be printed.
  35.  
  36.   • COMMAND-F13 or COMMAND-OPTION-2 :

  38.           A selected portion of the screen will be printed. A cross cursor will appear. Press the mouse button to outline the area to print. Release the mouse to begin printing.

  40.   • COMMAND-OPTION-F13 or 
  41.     COMMAND-OPTION-TAB :

  43.           A Print Screen Preferences Dialog Box will appear. These preferences relate to how  Print Screen behaves when activated.

  45.           Scale images to fit on only one printer page: when the box is checked, the images that are sent to the printer will be automatically scaled down to fit on one printer page if they are larger than one page.

  47.           Hide Printer Dialog Boxes: when the box is checked, the Page Setup and Print Dialog Boxes will not appear. The image will be directly sent to the printer without interruption.

  61. I encourage any feedback or suggestions in regard to Print Screen. Remember, I won't know if you hate the key combinations unless you tell me. Also, custom versions of Print Screen are available by request.
